1.5 trillion SHIB disappears into mysterious whale wallet after Shiba Inu rally

Shiba Inu, a dog-themed cryptocurrency, witnessed a mass transfer of 1.05 trillion SHIB tokens, worth approximately $22.7 million, to a mysterious whale wallet on March 2nd. The transfer, captured by cryptocurrency data tracker Whale Alert, sparked curiosity about the whale’s identity and motivations. It remains unknown.

The SHIB 1.5 trillion whale migration coincided with a surge in Shiba Inu prices, reaching their highest in almost two years. Shiba Inu’s incredible nine-day price rise led to SHIB’s two-year high of $0.0000235 on March 2nd.
As a result, Shiba Inu saw its highest weekly increase and best performance since October 2021, when it reached an all-time high of $0.00088. At the time of writing, SHIB price is down 4.75% in the last 24 hours to $0.00002043, reflecting profit-taking. However, Shiba Inu has remained 112% higher over the past seven days.
Blockchain explorer Etherscan has revealed some details about the mystery whale wallet that acquired 1.05 trillion SHIB. The wallet is currently the major Shiba Inu token holder, holding 848,512,243,279 SHIB worth $17,632,084. This means he may have made a bulk purchase of 1.05 trillion SHIBs, taking out about $5 million worth of SHIBs. The wallet also does not contain any other tokens except SHIB.
One possible explanation for this movement is that whales want to accumulate tokens in the hope of further price increases for SHIB. However, the exact reason for SHIB’s transfer is still unknown.
Positive news continues to flow into the Shiba Inu ecosystem. LucyShiba Inu team member recently announced in a tweet that the SHIB Burn Portal is now available in the Shibarium tab of the Shib.io platform, allowing the Shiba Inu community to burn their SHIB tokens.
