2GH/s PCI-E Lokotech Hashblade Scrypt ASIC Now Available for Pre-Order

The next generation of Scrypt mining performance and efficiency comes from the Norwegian company Lokotech. The Lokotech Hashblade Scrypt ASIC board delivers a mining hashrate of approximately 2GH/s with just 145W of power (approximately 0.0726J/MH). ) and the mining board comes in the form of a PCI-E card. The device is available as a PCI-E x1 board with 128 S1 ASICs, air- or immersion-cooled, and powered by 2x 6/8-pin PCI-E power connectors. Communication with the computer is carried out by one of the following: Via PCI-E x1 or USB cable. And now we come to the most important question: price. It’s currently set at $1999 USD per board for pre-orders, which have just opened, with shipping expected in the second half of 2024. Lokotech is also offering the ability to pre-order a complete mining system. Ten of the hashblades inside provide a hash speed of approximately 20 GH/s with a power draw of approximately 1750 watts, priced at $20199 USD and shipping in the second half of 2024.
We haven’t seen much development from other known Scrypt ASIC miner manufacturers for a while, so it’s likely Lokotech will have some help moving and shaking up that space with future releases offering better hash rates and power efficiency. So, if you pre-order now, it will be more than half a year before you can purchase your mining hardware, and keep in mind that a lot can and will probably happen in the cryptocurrency world in the next year. Some of you may be aware that there was another Litecoin (LTC) halving earlier this year with the block reward decreasing from 12.5 LTC to 6.25 LTC, and the next halving is scheduled for 4 years, so it will be a while before mining becomes profitable. You will be there. For LTC, it decreases significantly due to another half-life. Then there is the merge mining of LTC and DOGE, so most people will probably point to the Scrypt miner. But again, you have the option to mine other alternative Scrypt-based crypto coins as well.
