7 wallets including airdrops for optimal farming

In 2019, we wrote a blog about 9 useful wallets for collecting airdrops. The article has been viewed over 100,000 times. It’s 2024 and a lot has changed, so it’s time for a list of new wallets every airdrop farmer should read.

safety Although it is an important component of cryptocurrency, it is not the most user-friendly. Using Ledger Wallet while farming Airdrops will result in slower speeds. And ledgers are not always compatible with your use case. We recommend keeping most of your funds in a hardware wallet. This way, your cryptocurrency will be safe and you can sleep at night. However, when farming, use multiple wallets. Create a “burner” wallet with a small amount of funds that you use to collect airdrops. Setting up multiple wallets will help you qualify for more airdrops!

We will cover the most important things about Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin(ordinals), and Injective.

1) MetaMask

Let’s start with the most obvious. MetaMask is the most widely used wallet for Ethereum. The perfect wallet for using ETH and ERC20 tokens. All projects that use Ethereum support this wallet, and we all know that there are layer 2 ETH airdrops that you can farm. Outside of ETH, the Metamask wallet also supports Polygon, Binance Smart Chain, and Arbitrum.

The main argument for using MetaMask is that it can be easily connected to a hardware wallet.

Last bull cycle, i.e. all the “airdrop influencers” were demanding MetaMask airdrops. Now we all know this won’t come. This is a huge opportunity missed by the MetaMask team, and competitors have noticed.

2) Ravi – Point accumulation

Next is Rabby Wallet. This is a game-changing web3 wallet for Ethereum and all EVM chains, revolutionizing transaction security with its pre-signature verification feature that verifies exactly what the user has signed and displays expected balance changes, ensuring unparalleled security. I caused it.

Rabby Wallet also simplifies the user experience by automatically switching to the appropriate blockchain based on the website visited and ensuring compatibility with all apps spanning a vast network of 129 mainnet and testnet chains.

Supported blockchains include Avalanche, Arbitrum, Ethereum, Optimism, Manta Pacific, and more.

Points are accumulated as you use your wallet. This will most likely lead to an airdrop. Find out more about this in our listings.

3) Rainbow – Retroactive points + future airdrop

Rainbow Wallet is a cutting-edge, open-source, self-managed wallet aligned to Ethereum and all major EVM chains, providing enhanced privacy and peace of mind through a secure and discreet environment perfect for digital asset management.

Rainbow facilitates seamless integration with hardware wallets like Ledger and Trezor to keep your cryptocurrencies safe and sound.

An Ethereum-based wallet with assets supported on the Ethereum mainnet and layer 2 chains. It is also one of the other chains integrated with Binance Smart Chain, Base, Optimism, and Polygon.

they retroactive points To celebrate the historical participation of the Ethereum community, this is a distribution program that recognizes users’ past on-chain activity as points based on a snapshot taken on December 11, 2023. Volumes completed on MetaMask are also rewarded with Rainbow Points. All you have to do is claim it and keep using it to farm airdrops in the future.

4) Phantom – King of Solana

Phantom is a popular non-custodial wallet and browser extension on Solana. It’s easy to use and reminds me a lot of MetaMask. It’s also compatible with hardware wallets for an extra layer of security.

You can use this wallet for Solana NFTs, Solana Memecoins, Solana Dex Farming, Swapping, etc. Phantom also supports Ethereum and Polygon.

Despite rumors circulating that Phantom would do a retroactive airdrop, team members have always categorically denied this.

5) Magic Eden Wallet

Just two days ago, Magic Eden launched its own wallet developed in collaboration with the Exodus wallet team.

Magic Eden is one of the market leaders for Solana NFTs, so it is no surprise that the core focus of this wallet is NFTs and Ordinal.

One-stop wallet for NFTs across SOL and BTC:

  • NFT Collection Management: Seamlessly view and manage your entire NFT collection within the app and track price, collection value, and transaction history. Simplify your NFT trading experience by listing and accepting offers directly from your wallet.
  • Magic Eden Integration: Be the first to experience a digital wallet directly integrated with the NFT platform. You can view, buy, list, and sell SOL NFTs directly from your wallet while adhering to the latest wallet standards across SOL and BTC to securely connect to your Dapps.

Points Multipliers and Airdrops:

The Magic Eden NFT Marketplace currently has an active airdrop campaign. And as a Magic Eden Wallet user, you can enjoy a preferred 1.25x Liquidium points multiplier on the Ordinal lending platform. Saturn also allows you to use the Magic Eden wallet to increase your $MOON airdrop odds.

We believe other wallet uses will also be rewarding. More on this later!

6) Keplr – for staking airdrops

Founded in 2021 by the Osmosis team, Keplr Wallet has over 1 million users and has established itself as a reputable choice within the Cosmos community.

Keplr Wallet supports coins and tokens related to the Cosmos ecosystem and Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC), allowing users to easily transfer assets between different blockchains. Additionally, new popular coins like Celestia & Injective will also be added to your wallet.

Staking Airdrop

This wallet is widely used for staking airdrops. For example, Altlayer recently announced a retroactive airdrop for TIA stakers. You can stake TIA within a click of view on Keplr, which will allow you to receive the mentioned $ALT airdrop.

More retrospective airdrops for stakers will be released soon, so as an airdrop farmer, it is essential to purchase this wallet and start staking Cosmos, Tia, and Injective.

7) Xverse – Ordinal

The wallet for Bitcoin Ordinals and BRC-20 tokens is undoubtedly Xverse. The non-custodial design aims to be the next option for Bitcoin’s Web3 interaction across the stack. It offers a variety of features, including trading NFTs, using DeFi protocols, and earning Bitcoin rewards by accumulating $STX.

We wrote a more extensive introduction to Xverse a year ago.

If you’re dealing with Bitcoin’s Layer-2 opinions or playing with Ordinals, this would be your best choice.

Don’t forget to expand safety

I mentioned earlier in this blog that I recommend using a burner wallet, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t consider security.

Several security extensions are available that are compatible with multiple wallets. We recommend installing this to provide warnings when attempting to sign malicious transactions.

  1. Wallet Guard is a Web3 wallet security app. An open source extension designed to simplify transactions and security. With Wallet Guard, users are warned if they attempt to interact with a potentially dangerous smart contract. We posted a guide on this last week.
  2. Pocket Universe actively evaluates trading outcomes by simulating them before users confirm their decisions. This assessment will provide individuals with a clear understanding of token acceptance and swaps related to cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). By providing these insights, Pocket Universe helps users protect themselves from potential scams that take advantage of unlimited token acceptance.

final thoughts

It’s there. All wallets needed for the farm protocol and rewards program, including potential airdrops. We’ll be adding wallets worth mentioning throughout 2024. So, I will edit this part when necessary.
