Unconfirmed transaction – Tx pending. CPFP, BumpFee or nothing?

There are transfers that are stuck or pending for 14 hours. It is marked RBF. I have a slightly lower than medium transfer fee. (currently 67 sat/vB vs ~96 sat/vB). BitcoinFees seems to indicate that you should receive confirmation within 24 hours. I am in no hurry. The wallet I sent you is now empty.

I’m using an older version of bitcoin-qt (0.17) for several reasons. The BumpFee command specifies “totalFee” as a parameter (now deprecated) and the instructions indicate that this is specified in sats. However, in that version of the client, the fees were specified as btc/kb. I am very I’m nervous about passing a number like 40000 as the totalFee parameter value in case I misunderstand something and mess up the tx! (As part of the deprecation discussion, the issue of having multiple units was raised as it could cause confusion!)

I also have some BTC on Binance that I am trying to move to the same destination address. This address is also my address.

I’m wondering what the best course of action is for me to take.

  • Wait 24 hours?
  • Can I create a parent/child relationship on Binance as part of a BTC transfer? I don’t see anything remarkable about the evacuation facility… but I may be missing something.
  • Is BumpFees a better option? If so, can someone please check the syntax or convince me that a totalFee value of ~40000 is safe?
  • Other?

Thank you in advance
