Bitfinex Exchange blocks $15 billion attack against XRP tokens on its platform

Cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex successfully thwarted an attacker’s move to exploit approximately $15 billion worth of XRP in connection with a failed “partial payment exploit” effort. Bitfinex Chief Technology Officer Paolo Ardoino confirmed the incident, highlighting it as an attempt to highlight failed transactions and take advantage of the partial settlement feature.
