Godrej Consumer Q3 Results: Net profit rose 6% year-on-year to Rs 581 crore.

Godrej Consumer’s consolidated net profit for the December quarter rose 6% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 58.1 billion, compared to Rs 54.6 billion in the corresponding quarter last year.

Third quarter operating revenue increased 2% year-on-year to Rp 366 billion due to the depreciation of the Naira and Argentine Peso. It recorded 359.9 billion won in the same quarter last year.

Consolidated EBITDA for the quarter stood at Rs 841 crore, up 16% year-on-year, with margins improving to 23%. The company reported consolidated sales growth of 8% year over year for the quarter ended December 2023.

“We remain focused on driving volume-led growth along with sound investments in our brands and improved profitability. We continue to maintain a strong balance sheet. We remain on track on our journey to reduce wasteful costs. “Through category development, we have achieved profitable and sustainable volume growth across our portfolio,” said Sudhir Sitapati, MD and CEO, Godrej Consumer.

Home care volume growth by segment was stable at 5% during the reporting period. The non-mosquito portfolio continues to perform well. Air fresheners achieved double-digit sales growth.

Personal care product sales in the third quarter increased by 2%. Among these, personal laundry saw a mid-single-digit sales increase. Magic Handwash recorded a double-digit sales increase, led by Godrej Expert Rich Creme and Godrej Selfie Shampoo Hair Color, and a double-digit increase in hair color sales. December quarter. Meanwhile, sales in Indonesia increased 9% and revenue increased 8% in INR and 7% in constant currency. Sales in Africa, America and the Middle East decreased 8% in INR and increased 14% in constant currency. Latin America and SAARC sales decreased 45% in INR terms and increased 181% in constant currency terms.

On Wednesday, Godrej Consumer stock closed 0.84 per cent lower at Rs 1,162 on NSE.
