Security Alert – Account unlock issue in cpp-ethereum not yet fixed (currently fixed)

Configurations affected: cpp-ethereum (eth, AlethZero, …) version 1.2.0 ~ 1.2.6

Note: “geth”, “Mist” or “Ethereum Wallet” (unless explicitly used with cpp-ethereum) is not affected by this and will properly re-lock your account.

This is just something you need to know quickly. Security issues in cpp-ethereum related to account security It hasn’t been properly fixed yet. The fix, which is part of cpp-ethereum version 1.2.6, did not reduce security, but did not fully fix the bug. We will work on another bug fix release and announce the fixes once they are confirmed to be in place.
