Apple Vision Pro doesn’t do VR porn, and users are already trying to hack it.

The tech world and some in the mainstream have fallen in love with Apple Vision Pro. Expensive devices are promoted as “spatial computing,” creating entirely new paradigms for interacting with information and media.

It’s not porn. This is arguably one of the first things any new technology inevitably points out.

Given Apple’s unwavering prudence, it’s highly unlikely that there will be any official channels for adult entertainment approved for use with Apple Vision Pro. But users wanted to see if it could be used alongside existing platforms for sharing 3D videos of human mating.

The answer, unfortunately, was no. A surreal 3D rhino or dinosaur appears before your eyes, but a naked person? That’s not possible.

Many Apple Vision Pro owners are clearly fascinated by the prospect of immersive 3D sex.

YouTuber Tim Chantarangsu tweeted, “Just pre-ordered my Apple Vision Pro. Porn is about to go crazy.” People like him weren’t interested in playing a virtual piano or having an F1 track in their living room. They only wanted one thing, and Apple is keeping it.

Reality Check: There’s No Spatial Sex Here

Excitement quickly turned to disappointment as some early adopters tried on the headsets and it became clear that the $3,500 Vision Pro wasn’t compatible with existing, standardized VR porn.

As reported by 404 Media, users on platforms like Reddit’s r/oculusnsfw and r/VisionPro subreddits have expressed their frustration. There was an influx of posts asking where all the 3D porn was.

The lack of support is partly a technical issue.

DeoVR, a VR media website, explains, “Vision Pro does not play external VR videos by default,” and adds, “8K, 60FPS VR content is available, but there is no simple sideloading method. Connect it) to your device.

“You can use Safari to download your own content from DeoVR to your headset, but it may only display flat,” DeoVR continues. “You can’t select VR180 or any form of immersive view.”

Apple’s historical stance on adult content, shaped by Steve Jobs’ policy to block pornography on the company’s platforms, adds another layer of complexity. Despite Safari’s support for the WebXR standard, 3D content doesn’t appear to work optimally, providing a glitchy, non-full-screen, or flat experience for those willing to adjust the settings.

Apple Vision Pro users won’t be able to see what they want to see in its spatial, immersive, 3D glory, but they will still be able to play flat video on a giant virtual screen. At least they can get their own private porn theater.

There is a solution.

There’s a huge interest among VR porn lovers in jailbreaking Apple’s latest devices. This is driving hacking more ferocious than the days when Saurik and his goons were fighting to root old iPhones.

One approach is to enable certain settings in Vision Pro’s Safari browser, which are provided here for educational purposes only.

Users can access “Settings” > “Apps” > “Safari” > “Advanced” > “Feature Flags” to enable the WebXR Device API, Enhance API, WebXR Augmented Reality Module, and WebXR Gamepad Module.

This workaround isn’t perfect, but it’s partially successful, and sites like VRPorn.com offer a more immersive experience.

Some users reported that the hack wasn’t effective, while others were confident they got decent results.

“This actually worked,” McSlappin1407 said in another Reddit thread. “It’s still a little unstable and it’s impossible to use your hands to pick it up when it’s submerged in water, but it’s a good solution.”

McSlappin1407 didn’t specify what he was trying to pin down. decryption No further comment was requested.
