Tom Brady’s NFT sells for $40,000 ahead of Super Bowl release promoted by Joe Montana and John Elway.
Dapper Lab’s NFL All Day digital collectibles brand appears to be heading into Super Bowl weekend with some momentum.
First, the web3 company’s sports-themed digital collectibles brand known as NFL All Day issued NFT promotional packs during the Professional Football League Playoffs in January. Fungible tokens featuring Tom Brady sold for more than $40,000, according to the company. A similar NFT featuring quarterback Aaron Rodgers also brought in $34,000, Dapper Labs also said.
NFL All Day – a digital collectible of video highlights that people can trade on an open market – has never been as successful as NBA Top Shot, Dapper Labs’ first collection of sports-themed NFTs, which generated hundreds of millions of dollars at the end of 2021. According to CryptoSlam, monthly sales of the pro football-inspired collection have reached nearly $10 million in cumulative sales since the NFL regular season began last September! data.
Dapper Labs is now trying to capitalize on the Super Bowl mayhem by advertising promotional products to coincide with America’s biggest sporting event. Dapper Labs, which launched NFTs featuring famous moments from the careers of some of the greatest Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks of all time like Joe Montana and John Elway, also succeeded in persuading two Hall of Fame inductees to promote their digital collectibles. The Super Bowl will air on Sunday and will be played in Las Vegas between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs. Football games and the festivities surrounding them have long been considered one of the biggest marketing opportunities each year in the United States.

It’s worth noting that Dapper Labs avoids using the acronym for Non-Fungible Token (NFT) when promoting its collection with Montana and Elway. The term “NFT” has gained a bad reputation in the eyes of some during the cryptocurrency market downturn. Dapper Labs’ success in persuading sports legends to promote digital products built on the Flow blockchain can be considered a victory for the Web3 space.
