It’s not game over! – Trading System – March 1, 2024

There has been a massive exodus of brokers and prop companies leaving the MetaTrader platform, and you may be caught in the middle of it.

Simply put, US traders will no longer be able to trade using the MT4 and MT5 platforms. For most of us, this is game over. Even if you don’t live in the US, your broker may be promoting the use of MT4 and MT5, so you may have been affected in some way.

How bad is it? Most of us can make four or five trades using the MetaTrader platform. The problem is that we may have been trading using a wide range of tools such as indicators, signals and expert advisors that were specifically designed to work on MT4/MT5. And then you might get the bombshell that you can no longer trade using these tools… get it?

I myself am dealing with these two expert advisors at a prop firm and they have performed very well and I felt at a loss when I heard yesterday that the prop firm I am dealing with is moving to a new broker. I didn’t know what to do because my EA only works on MetaTrader and the new platform the prop company is migrating to doesn’t support it. In this course, check out two amazing EAs that I use to trade with confidence.

It’s not game over!

The good news is that you can still trade using MetaTrader, but now you need a “bridge” to help connect MetaTrader to the new platform the broker/owner company is migrating to. This bridge is called “MT5 to DXTrade”. From what I’ve heard, MT4 is already available and the developers are planning to create more bridges for other platforms as well. Check it:

MT4/5 to DXTrade is a utility that copies trades from MetaTrader clients to the DXTrade platform. I have tried it and am using it myself. If you are interested, try this.

How to set up

This is how I did it. It may not be the best method, but oh… it works for me.

  • 2 MetaTrader Clients — One (A) is the primary client who trades using indicators, signals and/or expert advice. The other one (B) is where you connect the utilities (MT4/5 to DXTrade).
  • 1 Demo Account — Create a demo account with your preferred broker matching the capital in your funding account. I have a funded account with $25,000, so I also created a 25,000 demo account.

That’s it…

Now the next task is:

  1. Log in to your demo account on both MetaTrader Client A and MetaTrader Client B.
  2. Trade and connect expert advisors to Client A.
  3. Connect the utility to client B. As with Client A, you will need to connect the utility to every chart traded on Client B.
  4. Here’s how to configure the utility: Go to Settings.

Image 01: Update the fields shown above.

Don’t forget to connect the utility to every chart you trade. When the utility connects successfully, the Utility panel displays:

Image 02: Account is connected

Image 03: The same transaction is reflected in MetaTrader Client A and MetaTrader Client B.

You can also see the same transaction from MetaTrader clients A and B reflected on the DX Trade platform.

That’s Okay! Hope this helps!
