The only technique that helped me reduce my restaurant spending was making imitation meals at home that tasted better than what I would normally get at a restaurant.

See, my husband and I have decided to cook more at home for health reasons and to save more money for a home improvement project we’re working on. And we thought it would be a fun challenge to recreate some of our favorite restaurant meals, including pad thai and bolognese sauce.

We were surprised to find so many copycat recipes for specific restaurant dishes online, even on websites like Taste of Home, that we ended up creating our own versions of some of our favorite restaurant favorites. many Better than the restaurant version. If eating out is expensive, why not find your favorite restaurant meal and cook it yourself at home?
