1. Garbage bag

There’s nothing worse than taking out the trash and discovering you don’t have replacement bags. Luckily, Costco sells their garbage bags in packs of 200 and they cost less per bag than other retailers ($0.10 per bag). For comparison, Amazon sells the same size bags for about $0.18 per bag ($8.99 for a pack of 50). Saving $0.08 per bag gives you a total savings of $16 when you buy in bulk at Costco. Yes — talk about credit card relief.
2. Diapers
price: $34.99
Like trash bags, this is one of those things I hate running out of. A newborn can easily change 10 diapers a day. Trust me. You don’t want to panic and spend an extra $2.99 on Amazon Express shipping because you’re out of diapers at 3 a.m.

4. Carbonated water

To be honest, I go through more cans of seltzer than I’d like to admit. Buying in bulk then helps me save money which may not be the biggest habit for my budget. A 35-count case of Kirkland sparkling water costs $12.86, which is just $0.37 per can. Even popular brands like La Croix are cheaper at Costco. For example, you can get a 24-pack of La Croix for $10.52 at Costco, while Amazon sells a 24-pack for $36.98.
5. Almond Butter
price: $7.99
This is another everyday essential for me. Use it in smoothies, spread on toast, and as a dip for apple slices. But it can be expensive. For example, a 16-ounce bottle from Amazon Fresh costs $11.68, or about $0.69 per ounce. Costco, on the other hand, sells a 27-ounce bottle for just $7.99. You can get 11 more ounces for $3 less.
