Ethereum has been hit by ‘Blobscriptions’ in the first stress test of the blockchain’s new data system.

Ethereum fees for “blobs” (a class dedicated to inexpensive data storage on the blockchain) surged on Wednesday after a project called Ethscriptions created a new method of recording data known as “blobscriptions.”
