This week saw an increase in the number of investors buying and selling collections of non-fungible tokens. Over the past seven days, NFT buyers increased 25% to 690,198, and NFT sellers increased 21.78% to 456,023. This trading activity drove the number of NFT transactions to 1.8 million, an increase of 12.65%.
Bitcoin, the same blockchain network that powers the flagship cryptocurrency Bitcoin, was the most traded blockchain network in the non-fungible token market. Over the past seven days, Bitcoin-based NFT collections have recorded $81 million in trading volume. Bitcoin NFT sales plummeted 7.73% from last week.

Ethereum, the blockchain network that hosts most of the blue chip non-fungible token collection, was the second most traded blockchain network in the NFT ecosystem this week. In the past seven days, Ethereum-based NFT collections have sold $72 million. Ethereum NFT sales are down 28% from last week.
Solana, a decentralized blockchain network, and Polygon, an Ethereum scaling solution, are the third and fourth most traded blockchain networks in the NFT ecosystem. In the past seven days, Solana-powered NFT collections have recorded $46 million in transaction sales. Solana NFT sales fell 14%. During this period, Polygon NFTs recorded sales of $7.4 million.
