mempool – How does setting Dustrelayfee to 0.003 on all nodes affect the Lightning Network?

that much dustrelayfee Used to calculate dust threshold. The changes you propose would increase all dust limits by a factor of 100. This establishes a transaction with the recipient. or change Outputs below 29,400–54,600 sats (depending on output type) are non-standard. The proposed changes will not increase the transaction fees users must pay.

Or at least force spammers like this to add extra bitcoins, so instead of just paying a fee, you end up paying someone or yourself an extra 13.220kb*0.003BTC/kb=0.039BTC.

It is unclear how this conclusion was reached. P2TR’s dust threshold is currently 330 sats, and your suggestion would be 33,000 sats, which is 0.008 times what you calculated. The linked transaction has a single P2TR output of 10,000 sats, which under the new rules must be at least 33,000 sats. Your value will likely be based on your trade weight, but your minimum output amount will not be adjusted based on your actual trade weight.

Given the larger minimum output, this change will likely increase the minimum amount of HTLC that can be reliably applied to the chain, but other than that, we don’t know how much this will disrupt LN.
