Napier Finance launches points distribution program ‘Llama Race’
Napier Labs, the main developer of the DeFi (decentralized finance) project ‘Napier Finance’, announced on April 10 that it would hold the social program ‘Llama Race’.
Napier Finance is a liquidity hub for profitable trading that will be built as an expansion layer to Curve Finance. It is an extended function service that allows users to trade assets that have been difficult to handle so far, such as derivative assets, in conjunction with Curve Finance. Additionally, “Curve Finance” is a DEX (decentralized exchange) that specializes in the exchange (swap) of stable coins.
This program is a points distribution program implemented at the launch of “Napier Finance.” You can earn “Napier Points” by completing designated activities.
Additionally, these points can be exchanged for ‘NPR’ at the token generation event (TGE) of this project’s proprietary token ‘NPR’. According to this announcement, the total supply of ‘Napier Point’ is equivalent to up to 5% of the total supply of ‘NPR’.
Additionally, this program has a leaderboard, and as the rank increases, the user’s illustration displayed on the UI changes to become rare. This illustration can be minted as an NFT when this program ends.
According to the announcement, “Llama Race” is designed to appropriately reflect users’ contributions to the ecosystem of “Napier Finance” and “Curve Finance” through the distribution of “Napier Points.”
The ‘Llama Race’ that started this time is scheduled from ‘Chapter 1’ to ‘Chapter 5’.
In Chapter 1, ‘Napier Points’ can be acquired mainly through wallet connection or social activities. In the subsequent chapters, it is said that “Napier Points” can be obtained through actions such as holding LST (Liquid Staking Token) or LRT (Liquid Re-Staking Token) with “Napier Finance”.
Additionally, as the program progresses, the ‘Napier Points’ that can be earned decrease.
Napi Lab completed financing of approximately 150 million yen in a press round in November last year. In this round, domestic and foreign investors participated, focusing on famous DeFi projects such as Curve Finance, DeFiLlama, Convex Finance, and Liquity.
Additionally, “Napier Finance” was originally a project born from Hackerson. The idea and prototype were presented at Ethereum Community’s Hackerson ETHOnline 2022 and have won several awards from famous DeFi projects such as Aave and Yearn. Additionally, Napier Labo, which leads the development of Napier Finance, is a Dubai-based company run by Japanese entrepreneur Yusuke Kobukawa.
