Mattel says demand for its toys is improving and its stock price is rebounding.

Toymaker Mattel Inc. on Tuesday reported a narrower-than-expected quarterly loss, maintaining its full-year profit outlook and saying demand had improved after two years of waning enthusiasm among customers.
