Bitmain Antminer E9 Pro: Complete Setup Guide

What is included in the shipping package?

• Here’s how to get Antminer E9 Pro in a regular Bitmain box from Crypto Miner Bros.

• When you open the product, you will see that it is wrapped in thick protective foam to ensure safe delivery.

• When you remove the foam, you will see that the entire machine is wrapped in an anti-static bag.

• When you remove the anti-static bag, there is another thick layer of protective foam on the bottom to protect your ASIC miner.

• The Antminer E9 Pro is currently available in two different guises. One is the same as the common Antminer series, as shown in the following picture. As you can see, the Antminer E9 Pro is big, long, and heavy. Therefore, be careful when unpacking.

• The other one comes with a protective metal cover as shown in the following picture. All technical specifications of the machine are detailed.

Step-by-step guide to setting up Antminer E9 Pro

1. ASIC preparation

• The E9 Pro generates a lot of heat, so placing it in a well-ventilated area is important to dissipate the heat generated.
• Antminer E9 Pro consumes 2200W and therefore requires special power infrastructure. Therefore, it is essential to have a dedicated 230V 30amp circuit for ASIC mining.
  
  If you mine at home, check with a licensed electrician to complete this power infrastructure.

• ASIC miners now do not support Wi-Fi, so place your miner somewhere with an internet connection. Connect the Ethernet cable to your miner.

• To power the ASIC, you will need two C13 or C14 ports, two sets of C-13 to C-14 power cables, and a 240V 30 amp power distribution unit (PDU). These C13 and C14 cables do not come with your miner and must be purchased separately.

• Now connect the C-13 to C-14 power cable to your ASIC miner.

• Make sure all plugs are tight and there are no loose connections. Now you are all ready to start your miner.

2. ASIC configuration

• The Ethernet light should come on when the power supply is turned on.

• Now you need the IP address of your Antminer E9 Pro. You can get the IP address of your ASIC in the following way:
  • You can get the miner’s IP address using a free program software called Advanced IP Scanner.

• • Alternatively, you can use Bitmain’s IP Reporter.

• • You can also log into your router to get its IP address.

3. Access Antminer E9 Pro via web browser

• Enter your IP address in your browser. A window will appear asking for your username and password.

• Log in to the browser by entering “root” as your username and password. For all Antminer models, the default username and password is root. However, different models from different companies may have different credentials. Please contact us at info@cryptominerbros.com for assistance. We recommend that you change your password later.

• You can now access the web GUI of Antminer E9 Pro.

4. Check firmware

• To check the firmware date of your Antminer E9 Pro, go to System in the menu.

• Now go to the Bitmain page and check the firmware publication date.

• If the dates are the same, there is no need to update the firmware. Otherwise, download the official firmware from Bitmain site. It is always recommended to use firmware from the manufacturer’s website as it helps prevent viruses and unethical practices.

5. Firmware improvements

• Go to the Antminer E9 Pro dashboard.
• Select the upgraded firmware you just downloaded.

• Click the Update button and wait for the firmware to be upgraded. It will take a few minutes.

• Once complete, you will see a dashboard displaying the updated firmware version.

6. Add mining pool

• Next, go to the settings page and set up your mining process by adding your mining pool, wallet address, and password.
• You can use the miningpoolstats site to choose the ideal mining pool for ETC mining. Here we will choose 2miners.com for demo purposes.
• Copy the pool address and paste it into your mining address.

• Next, you need to get a wallet address for ETC mining. Here we are using free downloadable software called Zelcore. Copy the wallet address and paste it into the miner name. When pasting the miner name, be sure to end it with a period and enter the desired worker name. For example, copied wallet address.worker name.

• Finally, enter your password. Enter 123 or X and press Save.

• After a while, you will see that the mining pool status is displayed as ‘normal’.

• Your Antminer E9 Pro is now connected to your mining pool.

7. Start mining

• After a few minutes, you will be able to check the dashboard of Antminer E9 Pro. The mining process should begin.
• Here you can see Antminer E9 Pro mining with a maximum hash rate of around 3.68Gh/s. However, the value may vary depending on the mining environment.
