The guest of this episode is Decentralization with Cointelegraph Leonard Dorlöchter, co-founder of the Peaq network, a layer 1 blockchain protocol hosting dozens of new DePIN applications.

Cointelegraph sat down with Dorlöchter at the Token2049 conference in Dubai to find out what it takes to peel back the layers of DePIN and build a scalable network for the masses.

Dorlöchter explained that these networks can be built at the enterprise level, but can also be run via smartphones. This means that the days of needing huge investments in specialized hardware are gone.

The DePIN application allows users to contribute to the network by simply downloading the app, opening up a world of decentralized, tokenizable opportunities.
