Blockchain – Why it is impossible to change Bitcoin limits

Imagine that it’s just you and two other friends running Bitcoin. Each of you runs your own node. We decided to change the code and spun up 40 new nodes so we now have 95% of the nodes. You change the node’s code, but your friends don’t.

What will happen is you will be left alone and your friends will continue to chat among themselves. No one will accept your block, the network will fork and your nodes will end up mining blocks that no one cares about.

Simply put, it accounts for about 95% of the economic profits on the network, not about 95% of the nodes. It doesn’t have to be 95%, it has to be majority, but I’m not sure if the value is fixed at 95%.
