Wallet Recovery – Is there a ‘BTC refund department’?
I was scammed 6 months ago.
Criminals then expect you to be gullible and stupid. You are their prime target. So they will try new ways to trick you.
BTC Refund Department
There is no such thing.
Bitcoin is not centrally controlled by any organization. It is a peer-to-peer currency designed to allow one person to send money to a second person. without involving others as trusted intermediaries;.
Any business can use words like bitcoin or blockchain as part of its name. Just because a business has Bitcoin in its name does not mean it controls Bitcoin. Just like dollar.com is a car rental business that has the word dollar in its name but has no control over the US dollar. No one knows who may or may not use words like bitcoin or blockchain on their website or email address. Many criminals are like that.
Sync your wallet with your address
They want to trick you with a surveillance-only address that shows the amount in your wallet belongs to someone other than you. The address is not secret. Anyone can add a Bitcoin address to their wallet, but that doesn’t give them control over their money.
A Bitcoin wallet doesn’t actually contain any money. Your wallet contains a password called a private key that you can use to control your money. Importing the address does not provide this password to your wallet.
The amount is in my name.
Bitcoin is not like that.
Some businesses selling Bitcoin may ask buyers to set up named accounts, but this is outside of the actual Bitcoin system.
Hello, I am requesting 10% of the amount to be added.
This is commonly referred to as ‘upfront fee fraud’. Don’t be fooled. You never have to pay any fees to release your money. If any, we can deduct it from the amount returned so you don’t have to pay it first. This is a favorite trick of trust fraudsters.
Is this true or just a scammer?
That’s not true. It’s just another scam.
