The U.S. Treasury is not seeking to ban cryptocurrency mixers, a senior official has revealed.

FinCEN’s 2023 proposal to require cryptocurrency companies to report transactions involving commingling is about transparency and not banning mixers, U.S. Treasury Undersecretary Brian Nelson said.
