SubQuery Network launches first decentralized RPC for Polkadot and Kusama
Singapore Singapore City, June 11, 2024, Chainwire
SubQuery Network, a Web3 infrastructure provider, announced the launch of two new RPCs for the Polkadot ecosystem. Available on Polkadot and Kusama, it is the first decentralized RPC available on a substrate-based network.
SubQuery provides web3 infrastructure for nearly 200 networks. The SubQuery Network is a globally distributed network of distributed indexers and RPC providers. This allows dapps to access blockchain data quickly and reliably on demand without introducing a centralized point of control. Teams built on Polkadot and Kusama can now take advantage of SubQuery’s distributed remote procedure call (RPC) node after deployment.
James Bayly, SubQuery COO, said: “We are excited to be the first to offer decentralized RPC for Polkadot on the SubQuery network. “Our node operators are already running RPC and other nodes across multiple ecosystems, and our emergence from the Polkadot ecosystem puts us in an ideal position to support the infrastructure of Polkadot developers.”
The Polkadot relay chain and Polkadot RPC deployed on Kusama are operated by more than 30 independent node operators. Providing decentralized RPC is essential for blockchain projects to operate efficiently and allow data to be pulled from multiple sources.
RPC plays a pivotal role in communication between blockchain nodes and external entities, facilitating data retrieval, smart contract interaction, and transaction submission. The availability of decentralized RPC frees dapps from relying on centralized middleware with its attendant risks. SubQuery Network’s distributed RPC facilitates secure and efficient web3 communication. This feature supports the robust and transparent operations essential to DePIN’s success.
SubQuery has launched an indexer that can be launched within the Polkadot ecosystem and connected to its unique multi-chain architecture. It has since expanded to integrate hundreds of networks, making it the leading indexer of web3 data with chain support.
Subquery information
SubQuery pioneered a fast, flexible, and scalable infrastructure to power web3. SubQuery Network provides indexed data to the global community in an incentivized and verifiable way. That infrastructure will play a critical role in web3’s transition to an open, efficient, and user-centric future.
