The price of Bitcoin has been on a downward trend, with a 5% drop over the past 24 hours, with a growing wave of liquidations across the cryptocurrency ecosystem, totaling $265 million in the last 24 hours.
As of this writing, the price of Bitcoin is sitting at $66,548, down from a 24-hour high above $70,000. Cryptocurrency long positions have been most severely affected by the price fluctuations, with approximately $245 million worth of long positions liquidated over the past day, according to data from CoinGlass, including approximately $57 million in long Bitcoin positions.
