NiceHash and Marathon team up to release new firmware for miners
NiceHash, a leading Bitcoin hashing power marketplace, has partnered with Marathon Digital Holdings to introduce new custom firmware for ASIC miners on its platform.
The new product, NiceHash firmware, will leverage Marathon’s technology to improve efficiency and profitability for Bitcoin miners using ASIC devices. Miners who adopt this firmware will benefit from a lower fee of 2%, which drops to 1.4% if they use NiceHash as their default mining pool.
The NiceHash firmware aims to maximize miners’ profits by providing compensation for selling excess hashing power in the market and increasing the efficiency of ASIC systems.
Firmware features include auto-tuning capabilities and custom environment profiles to improve market accessibility. The auto-scaling feature allows miners to adjust based on their required power target, hash rate target, or percentage adjustments. The environmental profile ensures compatibility with ASICs using air, water, single or two-stage immersion cooling systems.
The firmware also provides thermal protection to prevent overheating and includes a custom dashboard for detailed ASIC performance monitoring. Our partnership with Marathon ensures compatibility with NiceHash ASIC Manager, Foreman, and Awesome Miner.
Vladimir Hozjan, CEO of NiceHash, emphasized the importance of this addition to the product lineup. He said:
“Our joint efforts will allow us to stay ahead of the curve in this rapidly evolving industry. By building a team and combining our knowledge, we strengthen our position in the market, drive innovation, set new standards in mining, and help miners around the world achieve unprecedented efficiency and profitability. I believe it will strengthen our capabilities.”
Marathon CTO Ashu Swami echoed this sentiment:
“This collaboration will allow us to provide Bitcoin miners of all sizes with advanced safety and optimization features to improve performance and profitability.”
