Sensex rises today: ET Market Watch: Sensex closes higher, Nifty closes lower at 23,550.

Nifty50 closed lower after volatile trading while BSE Sensex hit a fresh all-time high. Sensex rose 36 points to close at 77,337, while Nifty fell 42 points to close at 23,516.

Top winners and losers:
Gainers: Axis Bank and HDFC Bank lead the way with gains of over 3%. ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IndusInd Bank and SBI also recorded gains.
Losers: Titan, Bharti Airtel, Maruti, L&T and NTPC were the biggest laggards.

Segment Performance:
Nifty Bank rose 1.9% and Nifty Financial Services rose 1.6%.
Nifty Realty was down 2.8% and Nifty Auto was down 1.3%.
The small and mid-cap indexes each fell about 1%.

Global market updates:
Global stocks hit record highs amid a technology rally and Nvidia becoming the most valuable company.
The MSCI global index was close to its all-time high at 805.13.

Crude Oil Price:
Brent crude oil futures fell to $84.99 per barrel, and WTI crude oil fell to $81.14 per barrel.

Currency Monitoring:
The Indian rupee closed slightly weaker at 83.4550 against the US dollar.
