Meta lifts restrictions on Trump’s social media accounts ahead of election

Meta Platforms Inc., the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, said Friday it was lifting restrictions it imposed on former President Donald Trump’s social media accounts last year, a move the company said was aimed at leveling the playing field in this year’s presidential election.
