Sony Group Introduces Soneium Blockchain
Sony Block Solutions Lab, The partnership between Sony Group and Startale Labs has introduced its latest project. A layer 2 (L2) blockchain called “Soneium”.
Soneium aims to introduce: New possibilities for blockchain technology, It provides “competitive features in the existing Ethereum Layer-2 environment” and blends areas such as entertainment, gaming, and finance.
Some of the standout aspects of the Soneium testnet are: Built-in tools to help developers navigate the rules As blockchain advances in regulated sectors, it becomes easier to create applications that comply with regulations, a critical requirement.

The Soneium testnet is in progress. Launched in partnership with Astar Network, its development is supported by several leading Web3 technology partners. These include Optimism, Circle, Alchemy, The Graph, Chainlink, and more.
