Shopify, Minecraft, Mercado Libre, Reddit, and Telegram are just some of the major digital sites that will be seamlessly integrated through this groundbreaking upgrade, released on December 12, 2023.
The primary goal of integrating World ID 2.0 with these platforms is to provide users with the ability to simply prove their validity within various digital ecosystems. This ensures that individuals have the ability to show their humanity on a variety of platforms without sacrificing their privacy.
The complex approach World ID 2.0 takes to authentication levels is one of its most notable features. This feature allows app developers to choose from a variety of authentication levels, from “Light” to “Maximum.” This strategic customization effort ensures that the level of identity verification is tailored to the specific security requirements of each application. For example, apps that place a high priority on strong security may need to use Orb Authenticated IDs, which incorporate sophisticated biometric safeguards.
