Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) continues to be firm in the token market that cannot be excuses worldwide. In recent movements, the International Football Federation has moved to an unlocked token collection from Algorand to a blockchain network like EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine). FIFA expects to improve performance and scalability for NFT users.

Fédération Internationale de Football Association confirmed the plans to migrate an impossible token collection with a new FIFA blockchain network. The new blockchain network is compatible with EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) and is expected to provide improved performance, future functions and scalability. In 2022, FIFA has entered into the NFT market by launching the Digital Collected FIFA+ Collect in 2022. In 2023, the FIFA, a governing agency of the International Football Competition, announced that it has launched the NFT (NON-Fungable Token) collection in collaboration with the blockchain company MODEX. The FIFA+ Collect platform has completed 11 NFT drops from the beginning to finish 909,255 digital collections and attract 16,448 holders.

Starting next month, FIFA Collect will be migrated from the Algorand blockchain to a new FIFA blockchain. Existing owners of FIFA collection NFT can access collectors on new platforms. The FIFA promised a more enhanced experience than ever before by accessing digital collections by the FIFA+ Collect NFT user through the existing password wallet account.

Based on the information shared on the website, the migration process is provided free of charge to all collected holders. But the FIFA noted that all collectors from the platform should be reconstructed before May 20, 2025 and included in the migration. To facilitate this, the FIFA collection account temporarily allows for re -promotion. A holder who does not recognize the item until the deadline must contact the customer support or may have to go through the additional verification process.

The FIFA is a strategic stage with a wider industry trend as more projects accept the Etherum standards to give up Algorand and create an EVM compatible blockchain network to promote the adoption of extension, interoperability and developer. The FIFA seems to follow the footsteps of the injections that have recently started supporting EVM.
