The Etherum PECTRA upgrade is broadcast live and there is a big change in the wallet function.

Ether Leeum activated the PECTRA upgrade on the main net to mark the important milestone of the blockchain network. The upgrade was broadcast live on EPOCH 364032 on UTC on May 7.
Tim Beiko, a protocol support lead for Ethereum Foundation, confirmed the upgrade by stating that PECTRA was successfully completed and finished. He noted that the continuous test of the new Etherrium Improvement Proposal (EIP) will continue.
Joseph Lubin, co -founder of Ether Leeum and CEO of consensys, also mentioned for many years, emphasizing the progress of the network.
He described Ether Lee as achieving almost 10 years of continuous operation, and the PECTRA upgrade has led to a great development in building a foundation for distributed global systems.
Lubin said:
“We can build the basic substrates for emerging distributed world economies and world systems, allowing to comply with the sacred principles of reliable neutral, progressive strict decentralization and essential censorship resistance.”
PECTRA brings to Ethereum
The PECTRA upgrade introduces changes in which users, valid turmurgers and developers are reconstructing the method of interacting with the Ethereum network. Merge two important update tracks, including the ELECTRA of the Prague and Consensus layers of the executable layer.
Among the main updates of this upgrade, the EIP-7702 is introduced, allowing regular wallets to work like a smart contract.
This allows users to pay a fee with a non -ETH token and use a session key when interacting with DApp.
As a result, Etherrium users will have a soft experience for Defi, Gaming and Payment platforms.
PECTRA also increases the value limit from 32 ETH to 2,048 ETH. This helps to simplify the node work of the institution and large stations.
In addition, Ethereum developers can lead to faster and cheaper transactions due to increased data capacity of Layer 2 networks.
PECTRA introduces these changes to improve network performance, reduce congestion and improve participation economy.
Be careful in the celebration event
Despite its extensive support for upgrades, some security experts have raised concerns about the risks introduced with these new features.
VLADIMIR S., a well -known blockchain security researcher, warned that the new message signature mechanism can open the user into a new vulnerability.
He warned that even a chain -off chain message could be signed by a wallet that could be exposed to malicious actors.
He said.
“Now, if you use the PECTRA ETHEREUM upgrade, you can sign a message to be completely drained! Before you had to sign TX.”
On the other hand, the co -founder of the Crypto Trading Platform Trading Protocol questioned whether the functions related to the DAPP permission were properly standardized.
According to him, lack of clear implementation guidelines can cause inconsistent experience in the entire wallet, which can potentially be disappointed for users and developers.
He said:
“PECTRA lives with EIP-7715. But is it to meet that name? It seems that there is no standard for the simplest things that everyone advertises: Batch approval + transfer.
