There is about $700 billion in inefficient asset allocation mutual funds that are taxed more than 0.5%.
There is approximately $20 billion in asset allocation ETFs that charge less than 0.5%. (We have 3 of these.)
I always assumed that multi-asset ETFs would eat the lunch of mutual funds. But that hasn’t happened yet. Of all the areas where ETFs dominate flows, this area remains a legacy area with high fees.
Below is a list of ETFs with assets exceeding $50 million and all-in fees of less than 0.5%. (I left out ours, but you can find them here: cambriafunds.com)
