GRIN Wallet Guide: Helping Miners Get Started
Last December, we published a detailed step-by-step guide explaining how to properly use the GRIN wallet. GRIN remains one of the most profitable coins to mine, but it also causes ongoing confusion among miners, especially first-time miners.

The biggest problem is that GRIN cannot be mined directly with addresses generated on cryptocurrency exchanges. Instead, miners must use a local GRIN wallet and properly configure the transaction method, such as HTTP or file-based transactions. This additional complexity often results in setup errors, payment failures, or miners abandoning GRIN altogether.
That’s why we created this guide. The purpose is to guide miners step-by-step through the entire process and eliminate unnecessary friction.

Clore mining has ended
We regret to share some very unpleasant and frankly unacceptable news regarding Clore (Clore.ai).
The Clore team unilaterally terminated mining and migrated the project to ERC tokens. Mining Beyond Blocks 1,584,180 It’s completely pointless. Anything mined after that block belongs to the fork, which is not supported by any exchange.

What makes this situation particularly problematic is the way it was handled. Clore developers have never contacted mining farms in any way. There was:
- Without prior warning,
- There are no technical notices.
- There is no timeline or transition plan.
As a result, many miners and pools continue to mine useless forks without realizing it. The only communication from the Clore team was a posthumous message on Twitter: “Thank you miners.” This was a platform that many miners did not even follow.
This approach is very disappointing. This is not the way things are done, and this is not the way to treat the pools and miners that secure and support the network.
Direct results:
- All Clore pools were closed immediately.
- Payments are no longer possible.
- A significant amount of money has already been paid for a useless and unsupported fork.
This situation also came as a shock to us. We sincerely apologize to all miners who were affected, and responsibility for what occurred lies entirely with the Clore.ai management and development team.
Please switch to mining other coins as soon as possible. Use 2CryptoCalc to find a suitable alternative based on your hardware.
Caspar (KAS) block reward reduction
Following the Kaspa tokenomics, Crescendo hard fork, and official issuance schedule, Kaspa has scheduled another block reward reduction in December.

- Previous rewards: 3.89 What
- New rewards: 3.67 what
Please be careful! Kaspa mining profitability has also changed accordingly. We have already updated 2CryptoCalc to accurately recalculate the expected доходность.
Year End Recap: Cryptocurrency Mining in 2025
As 2025 comes to a close, it is clear that cryptocurrency mining continues to evolve, although not always in an easy or predictable way.
Unfortunately, many small and poorly managed cryptocurrencies did not survive this year. Several mining projects have been halted due to lack of communication, weak development and unprofessional handling of major changes.
At the same time, new projects continue to emerge and some existing coins have received new attention. One of the most notable examples is Zcash. In 2025, ZEC attracted miners again, with its price soaring nearly 10 times from its previous low. These price increases have made even older ASIC hardware profitable once again.
Remarkably, machines like the Antminer Z11, originally launched in 2019, have returned to profitability thanks to improved market conditions. I will include pricing and profitability charts here to illustrate these changes.

Despite all the difficulties, mining is still alive. We reward those who stay informed, respond quickly, and choose projects carefully.
Thank you for being with 2Miners throughout 2025. Happy New Year 2026, and we wish you a stable network, strong uptime, and successful mining!
