Shipping: B-Stock shipping method

B-Stock has several ways to ship inventory. Shipping method depends on which store you purchased the inventory from. In this post, we will introduce various shipping terms and options you can choose from when receiving inventory. We cover:
- standard shipping
- Buyer arranges delivery
- flat rate shipping
- free shipping
- accessory cost
- Integrated delivery
Each seller has unique shipping practices and policies, so it is important to read individual listing details carefully. B-Stock does not store or handle any goods, nor does it manage or organize delivery. However, we aim to make this as easy and efficient as possible for buyers.
Standard Shipping*
This is the most frequently used shipping method on the B-Stock platform. Shipping costs vary depending on variables such as zip code, weight, density, number of pallets, number of pallet spaces used during transportation, and several other factors. Here’s an example of what it looks like on screen:

*Formerly known as Binding Shipping.
Pro Tip: Click edit In the top right, switch between different shipping addresses in your address book (see example below). The system updates and displays various shipping prices in real time, allowing you to choose the cheapest shipping location.

Example of adding an address to receive a shipping quote
Buyer arranges delivery.
For Buyer Arranged Shipping, you are responsible for contracting with a carrier and shipping the products from the Seller’s facility to your facility. This shipping method is most commonly used in mobile stores.

If you don’t already have a shipping company, consider finding a professional shipping partner who can handle and ship inventory directly from your retailer. We often recommend Freightquote, a shipping logistics facilitator, to help you find the best carrier for your needs. However, you do not have to go through this and can use any specialized carrier of your choice. In some cases, if you have a commercial dock height truck, the retailer will allow you to pick up inventory in person.
free shipping
As you hear! Free shipping can be found on select listings across the platform. You’ll find them more commonly at B-Stock Supply stores, but you may also find other sellers who offer some opportunities for free shipping.

Note: B-Stock fees will still appear under Shipping and Other Costs.
Flat rate shipping*
Pay one flat fee, regardless of your geographic location. This option typically only applies to small lots that do not require pallets for shipping. Flat rate shipping costs are included in your order total.

*Formerly known as: Fixed Cost Shipping
What you need to know before shipping
Please make sure the correct address is selected in your account before making payment. There are a few additional things to note regarding shipping methods:
accessory cost
This is defined as a service that goes beyond what is considered standard (e.g. liftgate, interior delivery, etc.). Accessory fees may apply if you do not have the appropriate equipment to receive your shipment. This usually costs no more than US$50, depending on your carrier.
yes:
- When you need a liftgate
- For delivery to a residential address
- When you need a loading dock
Notes on lot sizes:
- FTL shipments require access to a receiving dock.
- LTL shipments require the use of liftgates and pallet jacks.
- Lift gates are not available for floor-loaded deliveries.
See B-Inventory Lot Sizes for more information.
Integrated delivery
Consolidated shipping combines multiple LTL shipments into one full truckload shipment. This is a great way to save shipping time and reduce costs.
To use combined shipping:
- Eligible lots must be from the same seller and single warehouse location.
- You must first pay in full for each order (you will be reimbursed the difference as B-Stock credit to apply to future purchases).
- Single truck shipping requires that you meet the required number of pallet spaces within a specific business day.
Note: Not all sellers/facilities allow combined shipments.

Please check the shipping type on the listing details page. You can also filter the All Listings Page (ALP) by the type of shipment you want.
The palette is Flat transport structure. This enables handling and storage efficiency as a structural basis for unit loads. Pallet space refers to the space a pallet takes up in a truck bed.
B-Stock fees help cover the costs of operating the marketplace and are calculated based on trade size. This amount will be added to the final winning bid/total. Similar to “Buyer’s Premium” on other marketplaces/auction sites.
