EM Fund Stock Recommendations and Country Commentary (May 10, 2026)

I have a week left in Korea (I leave Busan tomorrow to return to Seoul) and this weekend (the Seoul Lotus Lantern Festival, which includes a massive 3km evening lantern parade and cultural performances, is Saturday-Sunday), I might skip this post and focus on clearing out my email inbox for this week’s Monday post (I’m already late…) and next week’s Monday post. I think Korea is a somewhat unfamiliar country to most people when it comes to tourism-related activities (at least beyond the DMZ, skiing for those who live in Asia, K-Pop related activities, etc.). But there is so much to see in Korea (including a surprising number of free museums and other attractions). I wish I had visited here earlier, at least for a vacation, because I think Japan/China can overshadow Korea.

Starting in early May, some April fund updates will be available along with new investment research, starting with non-EM material covering a few non-EM stocks.
