1. Surat Diamond Exchange
Spanning nearly 55,000 square feet more than the Pentagon, the exchange serves as a global center for both gemstones and polished diamonds.
Surat Diamond Bourse, located in Gujarat, India, is a major hub for the diamond industry. It has a large area of 622,450 square meters, 15 floors, and approximately 65,000 employees.
Surat Diamond Exchange, which is equipped with modern facilities and consists of a customs office for import and export, a jewelery mall for retail jewelery business, an international bank and treasury, etc. is located near the city of Surat and has over 4,700 diamond trading offices.
The 35.54-acre Surat Diamond Bourse aims to facilitate import, export and trade of diamonds, gems and jewelery from India.
2. Pentagon
The Pentagon, located in Arlington, serves as the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense, which includes all three branches of the military: the Army, Navy, and Air Force. It has a large site of 603,869㎡ and 5 floors (excluding mezzanine and basement) and employs approximately 23,000 employees.
Built between 1941 and 1943, the Pentagon aimed to consolidate the War Department’s offices previously dispersed across 17 locations in Washington.
During the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, terrorists hijacked a commercial airliner and crashed it into the building to mark the 60th anniversary of the start of construction of the Pentagon. 3. FCA US LLC Headquarters and Technology Center
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) US, LLC, once known as Chrysler World Headquarters and Technology Center (CTC), does business as Stellantis North America, headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
We are involved in vehicle design, engineering, manufacturing, distribution and sales. The headquarters has 15 floors, 325,160 square meters and employs approximately 11,000 people.
The company primarily serves passenger cars, utility vehicles, minivans, trucks and commercial vans along with distribution of automotive service parts and accessories to customers in the United States.
4. Exchange 106
This building, previously known as Signature Tower, began construction seven years ago in 2016 and was completed in 2019. Exchange 106 is located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and has an area of 453,835㎡ and consists of 106 floors.
In particular, it stands out as a conspicuous structure in the context of developments linked to the 1MDB financial controversy that shook the country and led to criminal charges against the former prime minister for money laundering and abuse of power.
5. Willis Tower
Formerly known as Sears Tower, construction began in 1970 and took three years to be completed in 1973. Willis Tower is a premier corporate office building and home to more than 100 companies, including prominent legal, insurance, transportation and financial services companies.
Located in Chicago, USA, the company has approximately 4.3 million square meters of space, 110 floors, and over 13,000 employees.
The construction cost exceeded $175 million and features more than 16,000 square feet of meeting space. It held the title as the world’s tallest building for nearly 25 years until the World Trade Center was built.
More than 1.7 million people visit Willis Tower each year, making it one of Chicago’s top tourist destinations.
