A Binance executive imprisoned in Nigeria is suspected of having malaria, his family said.

Gambarian, a U.S. citizen, has been detained in Nigeria for more than two months. He was invited by the country’s authorities to resolve the government’s dispute with Binance. Instead, after meeting with government officials, he and another Binance executive, Nadeem Anjarwalla, were taken away by law enforcement officers. Anjarwalla later escaped but was included in the money laundering charges.
