Adani Power stock price: Adani Power stock price rises 1.59% on rising Sensex

Shares of Adani Power Ltd. were up 1.59% at Rs 536.5 at 12:48 PM IST on Thursday even as the BSE benchmark Sensex rose 396.22 points to 73158.11. In the previous session, the stock had closed at Rs 528.1.

The stock posted its 52-week high and 52-week low price of Rs 589.3 and Rs 166.25, respectively.

The total trading volume on the counter was recorded at 12:48 PM (IST), with turnover of Rs 501 crore, according to BSE data.

At prevailing prices, the stock trades at 8.86 times its trailing 12-month earnings of ₹60.5 per share and 4.5 times its book value, BSE data showed.

A high P/E ratio indicates that investors are willing to pay a higher stock price now due to expectations of future growth. Price book value represents the intrinsic value of a company and measures the price investors are prepared to pay even if the company does not grow.
