Aleph Zero Foundation Hosts CTRL+Hack+ZK Hackathon with Key Industry Collaborators
Zug, Switzerland, January 22024 / Alexa Blockchain/ – Aleph Zero Foundation, a prominent player in the blockchain industry, has unveiled its latest plans to foster innovation and collaboration within the blockchain space. In cooperation with Deutsche Telekom’s subsidiaries Telekom MMS, stc Bahrain, Heartcore Capital, Arca Finance, Cardinal Cryptography; Aleph Zero Foundation has been set up as a host for and several other organizations. CTRL+HACK+ZKThis is a comprehensive hackathon event that will run from January 10 to January 31, 2024.
The CTRL+Hack+ZK Hackathon represents Aleph Zero’s most immersive and ambitious hacking event designed to foster breakthroughs in the world of blockchain technology. This event will be held virtually for developers from around the world to participate.
This three-week virtual hacking experience gives participants the opportunity to get involved in Rust and Ink! Workshops, educational programming and hands-on mentoring with Aleph Zero’s core development team and ecosystem partners. Aleph Zero has a history of nurturing successful projects, and CTRL+Hack+ZK provides a platform for developers to turn innovative ideas into reality and the potential for their projects to become an integral part of the Aleph Zero ecosystem. The goal is to do this.

The hackathon features a variety of tracks with significant prize pools, including Telco, DeFi, Decentralized Identity (DiD), Games, Tools, and Infrastructure. Prizes range from US$2,000 to US$20,000, and participants have the opportunity to quickly receive up to US$500,000 in follow-on funding.
Hackathon tracks include:
- Telco: This track invites developers to leverage Aleph Zero’s advanced tools to transform the telecom sector, focusing on optimizing existing infrastructure and conceptualizing new services, setting the stage for future telecom advancements.
- DeFi: Developers are encouraged to leverage Aleph Zero’s privacy-centric framework to create their own DeFi solutions and services.
- DiD: In this track, we explore identity-related solutions that leverage Aleph Zero’s underlying privacy stack and network of interoperable tool libraries to enable secure, decentralized identity management.
- Gaming: Participants are encouraged to creatively utilize Aleph Zero to develop NFT-based in-game items, enhance game development with Aleph Zero’s expert library, write smart contracts for in-game transactions and collectibles, and build indexers for game data.
- Tools and Infrastructure: This track focuses on developing applications, node providers, libraries, and tools that enhance the developer experience and ecosystem around Aleph Zero.
The CTRL+Hack+ZK schedule includes an Aleph Zero ecosystem townhall on January 10th, followed by a series of workshops, intensive hacking sessions, and demo days. Winners will be announced on February 5th and will receive cash prizes, mentorship opportunities, and potential inclusion in the Aleph Zero ecosystem funding program. The program distributed approximately $4 million in grants to various teams and products.
