Anza has published proposed Solana congestion fixes on devnet.

Anza, Solana’s validator client team released We proposed a congestion fix for Devnet version 1.18.11 and asked testnet validators to help us implement and analyze its effects.

“Dear Solana testnet validators, the v1.18.11 release is now live on devnet and recommended for use on testnet. Please upgrade as soon as possible to help us analyze the impact of proposed congestion modifications.” Anza decided.

Anza, a developer of one of Solana’s Agave validator clients, urged Solana testnet validators to quickly adopt the new version. This step is essential for the team to evaluate the release and allow for any necessary adjustments before the update is implemented on mainnet.

Solana has recently been experiencing significant congestion due to spam transactions. This congestion slows transaction processing, increases transaction drop rates, and impacts the overall user experience.

Solana’s unique architecture, which processes transactions directly without a mempool, is said to worsen congestion during peak traffic hours. Developers are developing various solutions to solve this problem. I haven’t slept in the past decided A fix was in progress to address specific issues with the network’s QUIC implementation.
