Apple shareholders reject AI tender offer.
Apple shareholders have rejected a proposal that would have required the company to disclose its activities using artificial intelligence.
The proposal submitted by the AFL-CIO Equity Index Funds would require companies to produce reports on the use of AI in their operations and disclose any ethical guidelines they have adopted.

Revealing the results of its annual shareholder meeting on Wednesday, it said the proposal had failed.
This meeting took place right after Apple stopped developing electric vehicles. The company plans to move some employees to Apple’s artificial intelligence division.
CEO Tim Cook said the company was researching generative AI and would announce its progress later this year.
Shareholders attending the meeting approved the executive compensation plan.
