In a rapidly evolving digital environment where data is the lifeblood of marketing, AppsFlyerA leader in mobile measurement and attribution spindle, a Web 3-based marketing analysis platform. This collaboration aims to transform the way marketers track and analyze user engagement by combining mobile app data and on-chain Web 3 metrics.
Two years ago, Antonio Garcia MartinezSpindl founder and New York Times bestseller author of Chaos Monkeys was working on a “Web 2 attribution platform” and was concerned about the inefficiencies of traditional data collection processes.
“This thinking led, in part, to the founding of Spindl: to understand the promise of blockchain’s shared public ledger as a common marketing database,” he said. The constant stream of events occurring on mobile devices, including clicks and app installs, has resulted in a deluge of data. This sparked the idea of leveraging a common database and leveraging the power of blockchain technology to streamline and unify marketing data.
Spindl’s mission over the past year has been to bridge the gap between Web 2 and Web 3 events by building a native version of Web 3’s attribution and analytics technology. This poses significant challenges, especially in the realm of mobile marketing, where tracking user behavior across multiple platforms is a complex engineering challenge. To solve these problems, Spindl joined forces with AppsFlyer, a leader in mobile measurement and attribution with over 60,000 integrated apps. The company was founded in 2011 and has raised about $300 million in venture funding.
According to Martinez, a key feature of the partnership is the two-way integration between AppsFlyer and Spindl, allowing for seamless data transfer. Developers and marketers can now access mobile in-app data along with on-chain Web 3 metrics. This integration is especially important in the gaming industry, where a lot of activity and purchases occur both on-chain and off-chain. Without comprehensive data, game studios are left with an incomplete picture of user behavior and revenue.
Martines said privacy is a top priority for this integration, with a focus on protecting customer data and minimizing data movement. “For the first time, the vast river of mobile usage and underlying blockchain data will be combined in an orderly and usable way,” Martinez said. “This is a sign of the maturation of Web 3.”
AppsFlyer and Spindl are now available, giving all AppsFlyer customers the ability to integrate with Spindl through the AppsFlyer Partner Marketplace.
