Avis Budget Group announces $10 per share special dividend
Avis Budget Group CAR,
The board of directors announced that it had declared a special cash dividend of $10 per share of common stock.
The special dividend is scheduled to be paid on Dec. 21 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on Dec. 15, the company said Tuesday.
Avis Budget also said it had purchased approximately 1.3 million shares of common stock so far in the fourth quarter, for a total purchase price of approximately $240 million. There is currently approximately $820 million remaining in the stock repurchase program.
