Backlash against identifying Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto is growing on social media.

Speculation on the matter is sparking a backlash on social media as new information emerges that could potentially identify Bitcoin’s creator.

Jack Mallers, founder and CEO of Bitcoin payment app Strike. said:

“You guys need to stop speculating about who Satoshi (Nakamoto) is… That’s so ridiculous… It’s childish… It sounds like a bunch of college frat brothers trying to rise socially.”

Mallers commented on speculation that early Bitcoin contributor Hal Finney, who died in 2014, could be Nakamoto. He suggested that such speculation could be dangerous for Hal’s widow, Fran Finney. Furthermore, Mallus said it was clear Nakamoto intended to remain anonymous by using a pseudonym, and the speculation ignores this.

“This (speculation) is absolutely disgusting. Hal’s Bitcoin has long been sold to pay for ALS treatment. Since then, treasure hunters have tormented Fran. She was looking for billions of dollars in Bitcoin she didn’t have. It is incredibly dangerous for (someone) to claim to be Satoshi. Do not.”

Meanwhile, GangGangHODL, a Los Angeles-based Bitcoiner and software engineer, wrote that Nakamoto created Bitcoin as “the ultimate gift to humanity” and wanted anonymity in return. “Let us return the gift with all due respect,” they wrote.

The ongoing legal action has sparked new speculation.

Finney and several other early Bitcoin contributors have long been considered candidates for the individual(s) working as Satoshi Nakamoto. Finney is considered a particularly strong candidate due to his early use of Bitcoin, comparative analysis of his writing style, and the fact that he once lived in the same neighborhood as a man named Dorian Nakamoto.

More recently, speculation appears to have been sparked by a court case involving computer scientist Craig Wright, who claims to be Nakamoto. A coalition of cryptocurrency industry members called the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA) is fighting Wright’s dubious claims in court.

Several early contributors, including Adam Back and Martii Malmi, recently submitted their initial email correspondence with Nakamoto to the case. The current controversy comes from Adam Cochran, a partner at Cinneamhain Ventures (CEHV). guess By reviewing those emails and outlining the timeline of events, Hal Finney is most likely the individual working behind the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto.

Despite these recent developments, Satoshi Nakamoto’s true identity is ultimately unknown, and there is no widespread consensus as to who he is.
