Balancing design and security, The Trezor Way | Billy Campbell | November 2024
Welcome to Trezor Pulse! We’re excited to bring you the latest updates and stories from across Trezor as we continue to develop innovative solutions to help you protect your cryptocurrency. In this edition, we explore the balance of design and security that makes Trezor unique, highlight recent developments, and celebrate moments that connect and grow our community. Additionally, Adam Budinsky, Head of Hardware, shared a special message about the philosophy that drives product design.
Leave it to you, Adam.
hello,
This is Adam, Trezor’s head of hardware.
Hardware design is more than just building devices. This gives you the power to confidently ensure your financial independence and privacy without a second thought. From the beginning, my team and I have been focused on one goal: The goal is to make it easy to manage your cryptocurrency by building a product that balances simplicity and security.
Trezor is committed to doing more than just building for today. Our mission is to design tools that prioritize security, privacy, and usability to help you maintain full control of your cryptocurrency over the long term. Because we’re open source, we’re not asking for trust; we’re providing transparency and the ability to verify and audit security at every step.
Personally, I am inspired every day by the challenge of simplifying and empowering complex technologies. Knowing that the products we build help people like you protect their financial freedom is what drives us forward.
Thank you for joining us on this trip. We will continue to build on this foundation to ensure your digital freedom is secure into the future.

Trezor Product (Hardware) Manager
Last October, we introduced Trezor Safe 5 and Trezor Expert services at ETHMilan 2024, Italy’s largest Ethereum and Web3 conference. It was the perfect venue to exchange ideas with blockchain enthusiasts from around the world and highlight what sets Trezor apart. Who knows? You might see us at an event near you soon!
Back in Cologne, we interacted with the German-speaking cryptocurrency community at the BlockTrainer community event. We introduced new features such as a smart trading engine and received valuable feedback. Events like this are vital to shaping our future and strengthening our bonds with our communities.
When we’re not working on new innovations, we’re building connections that further our mission. Our team recently enjoyed a memorable surf trip to Portugal, a combination of adventure, relaxation and camaraderie. We spent our days surfing the waves and our evenings enjoying stories, laughter and reflection in the cozy Captain’s Log.
Closer to home, our business teams gathered for a three-day bonding retreat filled with frisbee games, campfire conversations, and countless moments that strengthened our shared vision. Teamwork drives our success and this is a powerful reminder of that.
Trezor Safe 3 continues to impress with its simplicity, security, and ease of use. More than a year after launch, we’re still capturing the hearts of our users and your stories motivate us every day.
