Binance Supports Chiliz (CHZ) and MultiversX (EGLD) Network Upgrade and Hard Fork

In a recent announcement, Binance, one of the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges, declared support for the network upgrade and hard fork of Chiliz (CHZ) and MultiversX (EGLD). These upgrades aim to improve user experience on each network.

Network Upgrade Details

The Chiliz (CHZ) network upgrade and hard fork is expected to occur at block height 13,189,711 on approximately May 20, 2024 at 07:00 UTC. In preparation for this change, Binance will suspend deposits and withdrawals of CHZ tokens on its network from 06:00 UTC on May 20, 2024.

Likewise, the MultiversX (EGLD) network upgrade is scheduled for 2024-05-21 16:20 UTC. Additionally, Binance will suspend deposits and withdrawals of EGLD tokens on the MultiversX network starting approximately 15:20 UTC on May 21, 2024.

Impact on Transactions and User Experience

Binance assures users that token trading on the aforementioned networks will not be affected by these changes. Exchange takes care of all the technical needs of all users, ensuring a smooth transition during your upgrade. Token deposits and withdrawals on the upgraded network will resume once the network is deemed stable. Binance will not be publishing any further announcements regarding this.
