Bitcoin Core v.26 crashes or closes unexpectedly on Ubuntu Linux OS.

My Bitcoin Core v.26 on Ubuntu closes every few minutes without saving downloaded blocks unless I close it first. It might be a bug, but how can I fix it? I updated version 22 to v.26 because v.22 no longer opened and crashed completely. There are now 31753 blocks left to download and it takes a long time to close them before it crashes without warning, so it’s like a game of roulette and takes a lot of time! Please help me solve this problem. thank you!
