Bitcoin “epic satoshi,” a particularly rare version of BTC with the smallest denomination, sold for 33.3 BTC (about $2.1 million at the time) in April. Now, it’s been used to imprint the AI-generated voice and music of Canadian electronic pop artist Grimes (aka Claire Boucher) onto Ordinals assets.
“Epic Satoshi” or “Epic Satoshi” is an extremely rare Satoshi (1/100,000,000 of a BTC) created every time Bitcoin halves. The event, held every four years, halves the amount of Bitcoin earned by miners (who power the network). And these epic art pieces are known to be especially valuable to collectors when they are engraved with ordinals like NFTs.
Bitcoin Ordinal Project Book of the Blob The inscription 70,634,325 on Sunday engraved the work into the latest epic sat. The epic Satoshi-engraved “Spikes” collection is available through a pseudonym. OnlyHe says he is a doctor turned Bitcoin enthusiast and the founder of Nuro Realm, Cypherpunk Labs, and Blob Army.
Nuro explained that the “Spikes” collection explores the mind, brain, and reality while preserving consciousness for Bitcoin. He added that “Spike #1” is engraved on epic sat and was created in collaboration with software developers and Ordinals enthusiasts. Elok Vigo, Boffletonand steak.
“We are experimental artists working at the intersection of art, science and technology, so it has been our dream to shape our work into epic works and inspire the community to experiment and create new art,” said Nuro. . decryption. “We believe everyone is an artist, you just have to find your own medium.”
Nuro said “Spike #1” is Bitcoin Ordinals’ first “neurogenic” 3D audiovisual work, with the inscription inscribed with brain data that manipulates the artwork.
“Neurogenerative” is a riff on generative AI and neurological art. Neurographic art refers to art designed to work with the subconscious. Projects like neurotech startup Prophetic use generative AI to activate the subconscious and lucid dreams during sleep.
Nuro said the idea to use Grimes’ Elf Tech AI technology came after a voice project didn’t have the desired effect, and Eloc suggested they check out Grimes’ AI voice.
“Using Grimes’ free and open (Elf Tech) AI voice for some of the vocals is the original art and music we’ve created,” Nuro said.
In April 2023, Grimes announced the launch of Elf Tech, offering anyone who uses her voice a 50% royalty on AI-generated music using her voice. “Feel free to use my voice without penalty,” Grimes wrote on his Twitter. That means that while Grimes isn’t personally involved in the project, her skills can be utilized by any creator.
I will share 50% of the royalties for successful AI-generated songs using my voice. It’s the same deal with every artist I collaborate with. Please feel free to use my voice without penalty. I have no trademarks and no legal binding rights. pic.twitter.com/KIY60B5uqt

Paraphrasing Grimes’ own statement, Nuro said, “I looked into it and found out she was a sassy cypherpunk who said, ‘Fuck copyright and use my voice with impunity.'” “So I experimented with it and liked the spirit and the sound it gave a more spacey, digital vibe. So I’ve been using it with my voice and Steaktoshi’s voice ever since.”
Nuro says the Elf Tech program is easy to use, fun and unpredictable, but it is not without its problems, including downtime and upload issues. Nuro is not new to the Bitcoin art world. In February, Cypherpunk Labs and Nuro Realm teamed up with Deezy Labs and Superchief Gallery to open a San Francisco gallery dedicated to Bitcoin Ordinals art.
Last April, the latest of four “epic sats” were mined by Bitcoin mining pool ViaBTC and put up for auction on cryptocurrency exchange CoinEX. Ordinals were expected to fetch significant sums, considering that collectors place a premium on rare Satoshi-derived assets. And in fact, the final winning bid was 33.3 BTC, or $2.1 million at the time of sale.
Following the imprint of Spike #1 Ordinal, a “lower” version was engraved as EPIC·EPIC·EPIC·EPIC Rune #66429 using the Runes token protocol released during the halving by Ordinals creator Casey Rodarmor.
Since launch, EPIC·EPIC·EPIC·EPIC has recorded a trading volume of just over $1 million through popular marketplace Magic Eden, and currently has a market capitalization of nearly $50 million at a price of 79 satoshi (equivalent to approximately $0.05 Bitcoin). It amounts to .
