Bitcoin futures open interest surpasses $21 billion, highest since November 2021

At the time of this writing, open interest on perpetual contracts and standard futures was over $21 billion, and Bitcoin trading in the spot market reached $49,570. Outstanding amounts have increased 22% this year, bringing it closer to the $24 billion record set in mid-November 2021, when Bitcoin was trading above $65,000.
