BitForex website blocks users after $57 million in withdrawals are confirmed.

BitForex was taken offline late last week after $57 million appears to have been withdrawn from the cryptocurrency exchange’s hot wallets.

When you try to access BitForex’s official website, the result is “Sorry, you’re blocked. You can’t access bitforex.com.”

The reason for the apparent disappearance of the exchange is currently unknown.

Last year, Japanese regulators noted that the exchange, along with Bitget, MEXC Global and Bybit, were operating without proper registration. Previously, in 2019, Chainalysis reported that the exchange may have manipulated trading volume.
